Terrible Service The service at this gun store was horrible. I have been there twice, both without even being acknowledged. When I tried to view the glocks in the glass case, the salesman placed a magazine on top of it as to block my view. He never made eye contact as was VERY disrespectful. I wish I could give this store less than 1 star. Academy was awesome and they are who will be getting my business.

The real GunMasters. I have been a customer of GunMasters for many years and I find their service and honesty top notch. If I have any questions about anything related to weapons and ammunition, they have always been helpful. I have noticed that the "1 Star" reports were written in groups of a single day, IE check the negative reports that were written on 01/02/2010. Seems like a team attack. One thing I have learned over the years of gun collecting is buyer beware, if a person did not check out the spread of the price of a ... read more

Horribly Over Priced a price gouger! I don't mind paying a little more to go to the local guy instead of the big box store, but paying $1200 for a rifle at Gunmaster then seeing the same exact rifle at Academy one day later for $999 is just infuriating. I found the service to be OK, but honestly, the guys at academy were just as knowledgeable and super enthusiastic about helping me out. My advice is to just go to Academy Sports on University in McKinney, they have a great selection of ammo, firearms and accessories and you w... read more

Must Not Want To Sell Stuff I've been in this store twice. Both times I waited for more than 10 minutes before anyone asked me if they could help me find something. When someone finally got around to noticing me, their attitude was one of apathy. They really seemed like they didn't care if I bought something or not. When I asked for advice, the clerk just shrugged. On my last visit, in the middle of a conversation with a clerk with tobacco stained hands and a dirty-collared shirt, the guy just walked off and started staring ... read more

Gunmasters ? more like Masters of Poor Service ! Gunmasters ? These guys would be better suited to run a baite shop ! They could call it Baitmasters, or Masterbaiters ! The only thing that these guys are the "Masters" of, is Piss Poor Service ! What an efing joke this place is ! they act like their doing you a giant favor when and IF they decide to saunter over and half heartedly ask you what you want ! the prices are too high, the only thing cheap in this store is the "help" the customer service is like a poorly written ski... read more

Horrible service. From time to time I hit a few gun stores to see the new deals they have and search for any surplus ammo they might have in stock. My first stop is usually Gunmaster's solely because they are the closest. Being a young man of the age of 20, I don't expect to be treated with much respect from the senior's who typically run gun shops, but that said, I've never experienced total disrespect as I have with Gunmaster's. After a lonely 5 minutes in that store without even any eye contact I usually head down the roa... read more

Good Gear, Mediocre Prices, BAD Attitude Gunmaster has a lot of reloading equipment and plenty of firearms at regular prices. Nothing special there. They are a standard, privately owned gunshop. The problem with them is that they act like they are doing you a favor to sell you something. Other shooters I know say they have to "warm up to you" over several transactions or several months. This is unacceptable to me. If a customer is polite and is looking to spend some money in their shop, they should reciprocate with a good at... read more

No thank you We saw this store as we were driving by. Always interested in finding new gun stores, we eagerly stopped in. The first thing we saw was some very large indecent advertisement posters. We turned around and walked right back out. If you are concerned about decency, Cheaper Than Dirt in McKinney is the place to go. If you don't care about decency then, hey, that's your thing, but I do and I wouldn't shop here.

Too Expensive and Ignored Too Much Hahah I had to laugh at Carl H's review. Nice! I too have been into Gunmaster a few times, and for the most part, have basically been ignored. Their prices are just that, pricey! I'd rather go elsewhere.
