Everyone’s experience can be different. But I’ve been twice and the nurses on both visits were wonderful. Both times I left feeling how lucky we are to get free health care of such quality. The nurses were caring, thoughtful and very thorough. One point about waiting times. My first visit was for a cut on my finger which needed stitches. It took 2 hrs to do because they couldn’t stop the bleeding. Second nurse has to come and help. So if you were waiting that day it would have been a long wait. It’s just how it can be. Big thanks to nurse Chippo for looking after my daughter today, very professional, she spends time talking to my daughter, make her feel comfortable and ensure that removing her splinter will be painless. Also, thank you to Nikki, such a wonderful lady welcoming us in the walk in clinic with her beautiful dress. Service was so quick and 10/10.
They don’t do medical certificates or worker’s compensation forms. They are not doctors. If you want to waste your time in the waiting room until the nurse tells you there’s nothing they can do then this is the place for you
I attended the WIC at Gungahlin Jan 6, 2026. The RN/nurse practitioner Belinda was very impressive. She is knowledgeable, friendly, considerate and very generous with her time. Excellent professional and communication skills. I very much appreciated benefiting from her experience as a former surgical nurse. Unlike most GPs, she took the time to listen to get a complete picture of my presenting problem which enabled her to provide sound advice. How lucky to have this place! I got in within an hour, all was free. The nurse practitioner was lovely and knowledgeable. We really are lucky in Australia. Went again over Christmas and again the service was incredible. My partner cut the tip of his finger off, seen with in 15 minutes. Given sutures and bandage, all free with excellent bedside manner. The negative reviews make me sad as it shows a real lack of gratitude for how lucky we are to have such a great, free service in Gungahlin. All the negative people are welcome ... read more
