Did not keep proper medical records of EMGs. Misdiagnosed a common issue, and repeatedly refused to order an MRI to confirm. After another doctor ordered tests and provided a diagnosis, she said it was my fault for exercising too much and that I should avoid most physical activity. I’ve since seen 2 neurosurgeons, 1 neurologist and 1 spinal surgeon who all agree that I should exercise vigorously to maintain strength.
I visited Dr. Gundogdu for an ongoing neurological problem that has been going on for more than ten years. The work-up that I received at another center has not come up with a definitive diagnosis. I visited Dr. Gundogdu mainly to get a second opinion. Being a physician myself, I was very impressed by the thoroughness of her examination, her listening to my concerns, and ordering additional tests. I strongly recommend Dr. Gundogdu as a top-notch neurologist.
She is very caring and nicest person ever. It shocked me when i saw the other comments, but, i can't agree with their experience with Dr Gundogdu. Now I'm having a rare disease to be examine and she's doing anything to make me feel better and give me a hope to be better too. Thank you Doctor...
Awful Doctor who invalidates all of your pain and lacks common human decency. I’ve been to three other Doctors who confirmed I have a neurological disorder and all of their expert assessments completely contradicted hers. Her gross negligence should be examined as what she is doing fits within the definition of malpractice. Please avoid her at all costs.
She can be exceptionally rude. She walked into the room, introduced herself and then said, "Why are you here and wasting my time? Your deficits aren't that bad.". Answer: "to get a diagnosis and see what can be done". Her: "well I guess I'll have to examine you then" and threw (not handed) a gown at me. She came from the VA hosp recently and I just found out she has left U of AR med center so some other place is now stuck with her. No idea is she is competent, but she sure can be a jerk.
She is very caring and an excellent doctor. Gave us hope when no other could. Thanks yo her my husband is walking. We appreciate her do much!
This doctor is terrible for her profession! I've had neurological, autoimmune symptoms and pain for two years after getting a flu shot- various types of doctors tell me something is wrong -was referred to Dr. Gundogdu at UAMS. SHE talked for over an hour and DID NOT even run any tests, other than have me walk on my tiptoes and tap my knees with a rubber hammer. Then told me she agrees with one of her doctor/friends she went to school with. She said "you'll get better". That was it.
