Great place to take kids just remember to bring water.
My wife and I visited Gumbo Limbo this past Tuesday. Absolutely love the visit. I will say that the woman at the front desk was extremely rude and not at all helpful. All she seemed to care about was to make sure that every single person "DONATED" their $5.00. While checking out the lobby area, I heard at least three different people ask this woman a question. She totally ignored them. In my opinion, even if she is a volunteer, she may be better suited in another area of your facility. That alone is the reason that I did not... read more
It's gorgeous and important. I miss the old tanks where you could literally pet a stingray, but I think the current setup up does much more actual good. They've redone the boardwalks, which for now also means I didn't have a whole loop to walk, and if one can get to the tower, I didn't see how. So..., I still love it but long for its earlier days.
Loved it ...except the spiders all over the trees..keeps down the bugs I'm sure... If you killed those I'm sure it would kill butterflies also .do the buttetflies get caught in all those webs?? ... (can't deal with all the spiders is my issue .) The place is wonderful!!!
It was a great place to visit!!! The Volunteers were amazing people ready to talk to you and help you with whatever question you had. A very special place to go with the family!!!!
Absolutely one of my favorite places in Florida. Never forgot going as a kid and got to take my boys there. They loved it! Everyone there volunteers they're time. And it's all by donations which help them to continue doing what they do for all the fish and rehabilitation of sea turtles there. Not only a great experience for the kids but they're doing a great thing. Highly recommend anyone go and donate what you can.
