I have been on the waiting list since August. I finally got to have a phone interview for support for my divorce today at the end of March. Thats 8 whole months just waiting. After explaining I really dont understand the process of divorce and that I struggle with being on the autism spectrum, I was told because I did not have children or property with a man who abused me that I would most likely not be assigned a lawyer to help. I went to imediation thought my legal councle was in the room with me when I sighned the paper work for both cases because they said they would run them together and low and behold I just got served my 2nd suppeona for my 2nd case now I have to pay $120 a month i have no idea how I can afford this if u ask my advice dont trust Gulf Coast Legal services unless u want to get thrown under the bus.....

Once again, I couldn’t be more disappointed in the only pro bono option is this county. I had my first encounter in 2019. I had a housing discrimination case and the property was trying to screw me in the settlement. The Respondents Attorneys were trying to blame me. I told my attorney we were in a setup and she thought I was lying. Now, 6 years later and I am still arguing about the same issues I have been arguing about from the beginning, only my incompetent attorneys were on one side and the government on the other side, ... read more
