NOLA insurance agent here, and I just want to share that working with Gulf States is always top notch. First, it's one of few carriers where the underwriters are not mysterious creatures hiding behind a smoke screen. They answer phones and help solve problems. They are friendly and incredibly helpful. Policy was canceled for having things next to my house or under the patio (two neatly stacked sets of tires, grill, ice chests, etc) for “theft liability”. The customer service manager was absolutely no help fixing the issue. If you want to have anything in your yard definitely don’t go with these people.
I opened a claim January 25th, it is now February 29th. I email and call, nothing. I talked to Lori Nguyen my adjuster maybe once one on the phone and she responded twice to several emails I sent out. When I call I am told it should be completed by this time and thats been three weeks ago. Whoever answer the phone is not friendly at all and I have been trying to be polite but after reading these reviews and seeing one 5 star review from my adjuster Lori on here, I couldn't keep my cool.
