We are canceling Membership due to no letters or notifications sent to their members on when they would reopen if ever?

Scammers. Closed down after hurricane Ian and have been "temporarily closed" ever since. They had a sign up last time I looked saying "opening in November". That was in December and it's January now. $600 for me and my wife's year memberships and the owner said on Facebook to "make a chargeback with your bank" - so that's what I'm doing. They could have handled it better.🤷‍♂️

Signed my wife up and filled out the autopay form. Months went by and realized the payments were not being taken out. Paid to catch up and filled out the autopay form again, I was on autopay so why wouldn't I have my wife on autopay? Again, months went by she owed a large sum because autopay was never set up. We filled out the autopay form again. Months go by and we had to move, so I went in to cancel our month to month menerships. I used this gym for a long time, I always liked what it is. very quiet and always clean and organized, suddenly I decide to cancel the membership in May, because I would be away for a while, when I return I find that they are trying to charge me 200 dollars as if I had never canceled, when they themselves told me on the phone that my account stopped being used since may, i don't advise anyone to be a member of this club if this is the way they run their business
