Made first appointment for my rescue dog. Filled out the paperwork online. I clearly stated I have no known vet history for this dog. Today I receive a voicemail saying that I need to return a courtesy call and if I could give them any information about the previous vet so that they can obtain information. Also if I didn't return the call to discuss then perhaps my appointment could be given away to another animal. You are correct you can take your appointment and give it to somebody else. Seem more interested in $ than my dog. Require a full workup multiple times per year - unlike most vets who want a full exam every 6-12 months. Then they charge an exorbitant fee for this exam. We were spending minimum of $500 every 3 months just to get a shot. Do yourself a favor - find a new vet who is reasonable.
I had to take my girl in for an emergency, was on the phone but they didn't pick up until I pulled into the lot. I quickly explained what was going on and the woman told me I had to go to the ER, and rushed outside to get me the directions. I know technically she wasn't a patient for them, but the staff there really cares and they're super sweet. I called back later to let them know she's okay, and they were so sweet again. I plan to make them my cats primary care.
Dr. Barker is absolutely the best! The whole staff is top notch.
