The staff are welcoming and do a great job keeping the rooms comfortable and clean. Night time meals are excellent and good value. Great take away coffee and toasties sold out front from early morning.
We had our Son's wake at the guiding star hotel. Food was great and with almost 80 people there was plenty of room and the staff were pretty much invisible but took care of everything. Would highly recommend them for any function.
I stayed here for about 4 days and I can’t say I recommend it unfortunately. The room was very clean which was lovely but the fridge sounded like it wanted to explode at any minute and was incredibly loud to the point of waking me up constantly. I had multiple people just walk into my room (completely unannounced) at like 6:30/7am whilst I was asleep or getting ready for the day and it scared the hell out of me as I travelled solo.
