Our experience at Herndon Montessori School was mixed. I would personally give 3 stars mainly because I do believe Director and owner Dimple worked very hard, invested significantly in the school, themes, and programs, and genuinely tried to make the school successful. She did continue working with my son for approximately six months, which I appreciated, and she handled communication and the refund professionally. My son was in the infant classroom from 4.5-6.5 months, and during his time there, he’s significantly improved his core strength by doing tummy time exercises everyday and eventually started rolling over. He also enjoyed listening to songs and doing hands on activities such as arts & crafts and baby yoga. The school also held seasonal themed events where the students put on shows for the parents by dressing up, activities, and photos ops. I can honestly say that Herndon Montessori has been such a gift for my son and our family. Since starting here, I’ve seen him grow in confidence and curiosity in a way that I hadn’t seen before. When he was in public school, he often seemed unsure of himself, but now he approaches learning with excitement and pride! UPDATE TO THE RESPONDS IN THE BOTTOM: I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this Montessori daycare. From the start, we paid a deposit and were assured they could accommodate my son’s needs and that they focus on individual child development. My son has a history of febrile convulsions, which was clearly disclosed upfront, along with a medical note requesting temperature check and medication(Tylenol) if his fever reached 100.4°F.
