Arrived in Hinton, W Virginia after dark looking for a place to stay. Called to inquire about staying here..the main house booked but Parker House around corner had space. Folks on phone could not have been nicer...we were tired after driving in the dark & so happy to find such a cool hisoric place to stay..cozy & clean..highly recommend..
The Guest House Inn is amazing. We stayed at the Timberlake house. What a beautiful home. We were there for our sones wedding. I reached out to them as we had a party of 8 and it was becoming difficult to find a place to stay I spoke to Victoria. I would like to thank Victoria for being such an amazing person. Victoria was so friendly and helpful through the whole process. Always responded to all our questions and needs. She made a perfect stay for our family. Although it's a very charming building, the infrastructure is outdated. The locks on the doors do not provide security -- the door handles are lacking deadbolts so the doors to the rooms can be opened with a credit card or screwdriver. The fire system was entirely offline along with the security system. The cameras don't cover the driveway, either. The basement door was unlocked and ajar when we arrived. We stayed in the Rosemary Suite and it was really lovely. Comfortable bed; the jacuzzi tub was wonderful. I have zero problems with the comfort of the accommodations. This is a "you're on your own" experience, which is fine. Guests can bring in whatever they like to eat. Breakfast was supposed to be included but, as other reviews have mentioned, the options for breakfast included four single-serving boxes of sugar cereal like Frosted Flakes and a few packets of instant oatmeal.
