Guardian is one of the most money-hungry businesses I have ever had to deal with. When looking through these reviews, it is important to note that they incentivise their tenants for leaving 5-star reviews. Things in my unit would need repair and they would refuse to fix it (like the leaky fridge I had to clean up three times a day). This behavior isn't acceptable for the prices you pay. If I could describe my experience with Guardian for the past year in one word I would choose “Scammed.” I can’t believe I’m saying this but at least Julie Tobin (worst realtor in Maryville) from Shirley’s Realty didn’t take my deposit at the end by adding useless junk to my receipt. Overall, I would say the service (getting stuff fixed) was very good, however, everything to do with money was a scam. For real didn’t know the Penny Pinchers club from SpongeBob lived and operated in Maryville, MO. 🤦♂️
This company does everything they can to take every last penny from you. $2.50 per load of laundry, age old carpet that you are expected to have professionally cleaned, and outrageous charges taken out of your security deposit. I had water damage and cracks on the ceiling, no garbage disposal, no dishwasher, and a CONSTANT stream of tours taken through my apartment at the drop of a hat. Audra was great to work with and answered any questions I had quickly. She was honest about the apartments she showed me and I really appreciated that because some people will sugar coat things. Overall, I had a great experience with Audra.
