I wrote a nice review few months ago because I had a nice and easy closing but I definitely regret. We bought a small investment property and the big topic during the whole pre-approval and closing process was the PMI. We had some extra cash we didn't want to pay upfront because of personal plans. We were told that the PMI was removed automatically after paying 22% of the property (don't forget, everything is in writing), after a few months we decided to pay to remove the PMI.
