Don't let the Nordic vibe of the name fool you into thinking this bar/restaurant has any redeeming qualities beside an oily and slippery staircase to finish you off while you are already suffering the obnoxious attitude of the barkeep. I can't wait to be back in European restaurants
Had a delightful time at GRÜV during our brief stay in Charleston. The bartenders were a delight and provided us with excellent food recommendations.
Chopped wedge salad & build your own burger. Delish! Fries and coleslaw yummy too! Good music always playing. 2000s rock/hits.
I love gruv for their quality food and affordability, good vibes. Wings and burgers are great, fried green tomatoes, anything Ive had there... BUT I've been here too often on what might have been a busy day and the service is rough. They seem short staffed or something. They definitely need a bartender dedicated to bartending and nothing else. I once had a server running back making drinks too many table to handle, was slow to take care of us.
