Very good food. Walk in order and fight for a table. Wait on yourself and get your own drinks. Not a family friendly place.
Food was so good. We both got the mahi mahi boy and holy smokes it was tasty. Very messy so grab some silverware! We also got the original hush puppies and they were some of the best I’ve had. Service was friendly and everyone we interacted with was kind and respectful. Definitely being added to our places to visit while in port a!
It was an interesting experience, the table service was exceptional for just bringing out the food, however, I am not so sure I like the format as a whole. The food itself tasted very good though!
62 min for counter service order of 2 kids meals and 1 fried seafood platter. Fried Shrimp was rubbery and lacked any crunch. It had a bad flavor as well. Usually eat my weight in shrimp but my wife and I could choke down only 4 before accepting that we’d rather just be hungry instead. Crab cake was not good, but that’s also not totally surprising. We ordered two poboys: 1 shrimp, 1 oyster. Huge bun, could hardly find the famous slaw they boasted, tiny slice of tomato, 6 tiny oysters & 6 tiny shrimp. Neither covered the bun to even get a bit of protein per bite. Fried Green Tomatoes were $10...5 small slices of tomato so $2 each for these... They were "ok". FRENCH FRIES were the star of the meal. Total bill was $71... For a LUNCH OF SANDWICHES! So very bummed.
