Not really affordable for the average home owner. Just for lawn mowing and weed pulling, my July bill came in at about $1000 for a home that sits on less than a quarter acre lot that has a lot of xeriscaping. That was $200 for lawn mowing and $715 for "garden maintenance" (mostly weed-pulling) and $75 for summer fertilizer treatment. And that's for a lawn and garden they maintain every month!
