Growth Spurts poured a concrete patio and driveway for my home and the concrete is already cracking three (3) months after the job. It is cracking in the expansion joints and other areas within the concrete. Growth Spurts did not place rebar in the project as agreed upon to prevent this premature cracking. I have expansion joints that were poured in 1989 that are not cracking .. They offered to reimburse for the rebar once we found out they did not follow through on the contract. The customer is correct. We proposed adding rebar to the concrete. We unfortunately left it out and I offered and did reimburse customer for cost. Unfortunately we do not offer warranty on concrete work. The cracking taking place in the concrete is where it is supposed to be. We set our joints close together so when it does crack it cracks in expansion joints. We know it will crack it's just a matter of time in our area, that's why it is never guaranteed.
