EDIT: I have to add, Following the response from Group1, I did make contact and they said all the right things, they want to get this resolved etc. My expectations were 'set' to hearing back within 2 weeks at the most. I bought a used Nissan x-trail from Taylor, the process was effortless and well organised, I just wanted a few months driving the car before writing the review for obvious reasons. The car has been great with everything working 100%. Very happy as buying a used car can be a minefield, I would definitely trust this garage in the future should I need an upgrade.
It was a rainy day and when we started driving the car, it instantly starts leaking on the inside of the car from the roof. A totally wasted trip, but better than wasting money on buying the car. It seems that the process behind checking if cars are in sellable/usable condition aren’t the best. I would be cautious and recommend also perhaps test driving during bad weather.
I'll start by saying, I think I've quite possibly been one of the unlucky ones. I made the journey from Ashford, Kent to Group1 Assured Hailsham to view a Mazda CX5. The car seemed to be really tidy, they picked up on my concerns and agreed to resolve them which they were. The price of the vehicle was 10-15% above the odds in my opinion, but I accepted this thinking I was paying extra for a dealership that would only be selling roadworthy, safe vehicles in good condition.
