I started going to GWA over 12 years ago. I’ve not been consistent that whole time but having just started back again a couple months ago after a long hiatus, I can say the quality of the gym and the trainers has stayed consistent and high quality. As a physiotherapist, I appreciate their focus on form and feedback for good movement patterns to reduce the risk of injury. Here we go! If you work or live downtown and Groundworks is close, this is your gym. Proximity is everything! Groundworks doesn’t have a lot of fancy red or blue lights, it’s a club but not a dance club - you’re gonna see the people who are sweating next to you, trying for that 1% better, doing their best, for that day. They don’t have a lot of fancy machines like a carnival but they do have everything you need to get you fit, strong, toned, shapely, metabolically supercharged - and the experienced and knowledgeable trainers... read more

Trainer Laura McLoone was well versed in her knowledge of what my specific goals where, and accommodated them with brilliant(challenging) exercises that had me feeling the Dom's days after! Session was sharp, to the point. Laura explained the purpose behind everything we did, and why. She over-emphasized the smaller details to help make sense of the bigger picture! 10/10 would re-book!
