RecommendedI remember sitting on a couch as a teenager much in awe and buying a poetry book for a few dollars. It was a magic place and still is, I'm sure. But now I am old and living in Florida so I just dream about it. Still have the book though.

My father, Gordon Cairnie started the Grolier and when working at the Window Shop often sat on his sofa between serving meals.
One of my favorite places to visit when I'm in Cambridge. This tiny book shop holds so much history. Sometimes I walk in and ask them to recommend something new. Sometimes, the staff will share stories about your favorite poet. And of course, it's fun just to walk around and look - see what's featured - page through second hand literary journals. It's a place I feel good about spending major money on books - I never want Grolier to close.
