I do not recommend shopping at this Grocery Outlet located in Palo Alto. The produce section was one of the worst I've seen. Many fruits and vegetables looked old, moldy, wet, and sticky, with a strange odor. There were fruit flies all over the produce, making it very unappetizing and not worth buying. The dairy and deli sections were also concerning. I found multiple expired items, including milk, eggs, sandwich meats, and yogurts. Great location and convenience for those that live here, this discount market provides a neighborhood option where one might not expect it. GO is doing much better than the previous tenant. Checkout line waits can be highly vaiable. Selection changes frequently for name brand items, but that is the nature of this chain of course. Certain staples are showing up under the store brand "Simply" for items they commit to stocking regularly. Now and then I find top ranked healthy dry and dairy food for half of the price as sold in Whole Foods, although once you see a good deal you want to grab as much as you can because they won't be there for long. They do carry some healthy food that I like on regular basis such as air chilled organic chicken for very good price. The fun part of shopping there is I often find something unique which I've never seen before... but you might not want to count on it for your weekly grocery shopping or getting your healthy stables.
