Groce Funeral Home was founded in 1929 by the sons of the Reverend T.A. Groce, a circuit-riding Methodist minister who traveled the mountains of Western North Carolina by horse and buggy. Following the deaths of Robert Groce in 1985 and Willis H. "Bill" Groce in 1991, and Fred F. The experience with Groce has been terrible. I did not receive a return phone call as promised. At my mother's funeral, no one from Groce even spoke to my family. They did , however, speak to my sister who had not seen or spoken to my mother in over 2 years. The grandchildren were not spoken to . It was of if we did not exist. Our family has always used Groce Funeral Home. I will not recommend Groce to anyone in the future. Unless you are handing them a check, you will not be comforted in any way. Groce Funeral Home Inc is top notch The morticians and staff at Groce are so very kind and caring to those who have just lost loved ones. They are very patient, and are not pushy when you are trying to make decisions about what to do during that delicate time. I would recommend to anyone.
