City Grindhouse is partnered with the non profit Alchemy Skateboarding which provides an indoor skatepark to the greater Tacoma community as well resources to youth.

Everyone there is SUPER nice and their entire perspective is amazing. Help everyone and anyone enjoy skateboarding and reinforce positivity in the sport and help everyone improve positively and stay active. It's a super wholesome and good thing Alchemy and Grit City Grindhouse have going on. The kids LOVE it because if you go to a skatepark they can feel intimidated. But everyone here just wants to play with you. It's awesome
Stopped in after getting a tattoo upstairs. I heard rolling around and was told there was a cool skate shop that does a lot of local youth programs downstairs. I HAD to stop in and see for myself and at the very least get something. If your looking for a cool way to give back directly to the community, this is the spot. I cannot emphasize how assuring and pleasing it was walking into an actual shop, let alone one of this size in this day n age. They even got half pipes in the back actively being used by locals. Kool skate shop all the essentials for a good skateboard. Plus a small skate spark in the back. Custom service was on point. Would definitely visit this shop again.
