Interesting facility to pass on Hwy 40 at night.
Griffith Energy Facility is a 653.8MW gas fired power project. It is located in Arizona, the US. According to GlobalData, who tracks and profiles over 170,000 power plants worldwide, the project is currently active. It has been developed in a single phase. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in January 2002. I missed the bar and lounge area. But I did drink from the vortex pool and found the water quite piquant. 10/10 would recommend.

They let us bottle our own smoke from the stacks, really came in handy later that night on the road. Could have used more flavor, but a sprinkle of cumin fixed that right up. If you visit 1 smoke stack in Arizona, make it this one.
