I had very high expectations for this restaurant, especially considering the concept, presentation, and price point, but unfortunately, the overall experience ended up being quite disappointing. The jerk chicken was probably one of the biggest disappointments. In my opinion, once you cover jerk chicken with BBQ sauce, it loses the essence of what jerk chicken is supposed to be and simply becomes grilled chicken with barbecue sauce. Dining here with family was a unique experience. I am all for supporting a black-owned business, especially being a person of color myself. What I am not for is food quality not matching its price point. Although not advertised on the website, I ordered the Thai burger that included an all beef patty, Kimchi, Thai sauce and fries for $25.
