I cleaned their recently bought pooler station apts. I have not been paid what is owed. I have battled for 2yrs. They require high insurance and auto insurance to be in compliance and I have a previously written contract with the previous owners that is still to be upheld and they refuse to acknowledge it and pay what is owed.
I was instructed to apply for an apartment to be placed on a waiting list for a specific 2 bedroom apartment. I later learned that there probably wouldn’t be one available until this time next year when leases renew. The manager approved the cancellation and submitted a refund request. It has been 50 days, numerous trips to the Alta Monarch Crossing property in Denton TX, several calls and emails to corporate and I STILL DON’T have my refund. I had a scheduled move-in at Avana Woods that ultimately did not happen due to the unit not being rent-ready on the agreed date. I had applied specifically for a 2-bedroom unit (Unit #2014) after multiple tours and based on guidance from leasing staff. I’m extremely disappointed with how a serious safety issue has been handled at this property. THE ESPLANADE AT NATIONAL HARBOR At approximately 1:45 AM, my apartment experienced significant water flooding that affected electrical outlets and light fixtures. Water came through multiple light sockets and triggered the smoke alarm—an extremely dangerous situation and a clear indication of a potential electrical hazard. The apartment complex Avana Oakbrook is so poorly managed. The office staff is rude and don’t care about your complaints or concerns and your safety. I have mold and it is killing my asthma. I can’t wait to get out of here. Every month I get a notification of a missed bill or something. I hate this place since it was bought by Greystar. All the tenants I’ve spoken to want out. It’s a joke.
