I had a scheduled move-in at Avana Woods that ultimately did not happen due to the unit not being rent-ready on the agreed date. I’m extremely disappointed with how a serious safety issue has been handled at this property. THE ESPLANADE AT NATIONAL HARBOR At approximately 1:45 AM, my apartment experienced significant water flooding that affected electrical outlets and light fixtures. Water came through multiple light sockets and triggered the smoke alarm—an extremely dangerous situation and a clear indication of a potential electrical hazard. The apartment complex Avana Oakbrook is so poorly managed. The office staff is rude and don’t care about your complaints or concerns and your safety. I have mold and it is killing my asthma. I can’t wait to get out of here. Every month I get a notification of a missed bill or something. I hate this place since it was bought by Greystar. All the tenants I’ve spoken to want out. It’s a joke.
Sherron Joseph from the Specialist, Receivables Department was VERY unprofessional. Stopped answering calls and emails. Hard to talk to someone when the employee does not respond or answer the phone.
I’ve had experience with Greystar both as a current resident and as someone who was looking at their other properties in Boston. While the buildings themselves often look nice, the way they are run is incredibly disappointing. Since Greystar took over my current building, the quality of service has gone downhill.
