the location was the only thing i loved about this rental. the cabin itself was deceptively small and in very poor shape. appliances old and hardly working. unreasonable and insane amount of expectations and rules for a short stay. drapes are so thin that the lights from outside (which are neon and do not turn off ever) kept me and my family awake. so many spiders inside! the tiniest, most cramped, uncomfortable rundown bathroom without a locking mechanism on the door that didn’t even fully close. areas in the cabin that do ... read more
Great hospitality and such wonderful folk. Stopped by to shower and do laundry. Such a beautiful area. Envy their lifestyle. Will be back! See you soon!
Only place in Christopher Creek that has laundry facilities for the general public. Machines work great and are reasonably priced. No bathroom there and only an inside picnic table to sit on but if you're just going to do laundry and you don't want to drive to Payson, this is the place!
I stayed at Grey Hackle for a couple of nights. I used it as a base for kayak fishing the beautiful lakes in the area. Super clean and comfortable little cabin. #6 has no fireplace, but I didn't want a fireplace. The couple that own and run Grey Hackle are so friendly and helpful with everything you need. I would recommend this place to anyone that wants to stay in a clean and comfortable little cabin that is close to everything on the rim.
