Worst experience ever. We have been living in this area for 20plus years now. We both pay high taxes and are citizens of this once beautiful country. We try to live healthy and avoid going to any hospital, the few times we have been to the ER mostly for our kids it has been bad to worse for wait times and when you do see the doctor they tend to dismiss you within 10mins. I had an appointment at Southampton Hospital for a lab test, but my experience was extremely frustrating and unacceptable. I was sent to the emergency department just to get a lab requisition from a doctor, and I ended up waiting more than 6 hours. I arrived around 2:00 PM and was still there until 6:00 PM, even though the emergency department was not busy at all. In fact, I believe I was one of the first patients there. It was horrible. Went in with my vertigo, told her I was anxious in wait room, and still on my shift for driving. So I needed to be In AND out. I was apparently called 4 times in one hour, which withb7bpeople ahead of me I told 2 to 3 hour wait time. Then asked to re register. And the printers were off line. So no manual abilities. It's a hospital, even a waitress can hand bomb information and then add it into a co.puter. no excuses. Critical or not sick people deserve better then 1 out 5 service. They got my hubby in quick to xray then stitched and bandages shorly after. Dr V was so funny and made the time there so relaxed! Best doctor I've seen at a hospital ever!! Thank you 💗!
Came due to being sick, and wanted to make sure I was not contagious (strep throat, covid, pneumonia wise.) and don’t have a family doctor. I was questioned in triage and sat a few hours later. Also understanding that others could have more serious symptoms. The wait time was not an issue. But when I was sat in the room I was sat in.
