I don’t like writing a bad review when most of my experiences with Salem Hospital have been positive, however it’s the poor experiences that drag my entire opinion of this hospital down to one star. I have speech deficiencies and therefore I am treated as I am incompetent. The level of disrespect from some individuals who work at this hospital is astounding. I am seen as a lesser being by a small minority of staff, but like I said, most of my experiences have been positive.
If I could rate them lower I would...actually, just 1 person there was the whole reason for a bad review. Alexis has to be the least compassionate and hardest person to work with. I was under the assumption that a doctor would read my results and call me back (like every other specialty I have ever worked with), but no. I had to call them to get my results and then I had to deal with Alexis. No clue what her background is, but she was so apathetic it staggers me. Now you have to walk in through a security checkpoint in which case today I was asked empty my pockets if I had a knifes or guns on me. going to see my doctor? in which I said no and they said well we need to wand you and I said you know what I’ve got stents and all kinds of wonderful stuff in my body and I’m greatly offended. Medical Assistant here on a power trip lying about being the one in charge and denied access to a charge nurse or supervisor. Poor attitude and rude. It's too bad this is the only option in Woodburn for Urgent Care on the weekends. Save the frustration and drive to Silverton if you want to be taken care of by people who actually care.
