Dr. Colon is fine. The problem is his support staff, especially his nurse, Lindsay. Prescriptions and billing issues are inevitable. Example: my prescription authorization was submitted 4 weeks after Dr. Colon wrote it, and they directly lied about it being sent 'multiple times' with no paper trail to support it. You'll also get billed wrong, ex: your annual wellness visit WILL be charged under the guise of 'you talked about more in the office than annual wellness'.
Dr. Colon does not rush through the appointment and takes the time for explanations regarding procedures or medications. He has a relaxed manner and makes one feel comfortable when asking questions. His office staff and nurses are courteous and professional.
Dr. Colon is nice during the in office visit, but when it comes to calling in meds or getting an approval for a med he does not -says he will, but doesn't happen. Saw the Dr. on 8/4/20. Hard to get ahold of a nurse - when you leave a msg for the nurse, it says they will call back within 48 hours, but no call back. Had to wait on hold to get a nurse to come to the ph -went over all my meds with 2 diff nurses & still did not call in my meds. My seizure meds were finally called in, but with no refills. Wasn't able to visit but here is the chronology of what did (or didn't) happen: 8/4/20-Symptoms of Covid19 began. Started with major headache and aches. 8/6/20-Went to My ER as recommended by Dr. Colon, to get fast testing. Tested positive. 8/12/20- Tried to get appt but couldn't and agreed to do teleconference call w/ doctor but never heard back from anyone. Dr.Colon is the BEST Doctor that I have EVER been to. I drive 3 Hours to come see him. Dr. Colon doesn't rush me in and out. And Dr. Colon listens to my concerns. I'm glad that I have Finally found the Perfect Doctor. He is the Best for any Age.
Dr. Colon is an excellent doctor and one to keep for a lifetime!
Dr Colon is interested in the life of the patient. He spends good time to understand the issue and the person. He was knowledgeable and articulate.
Extremely poor doctor, do not recommend at all. His bedside manners are great but his work and followup is horrible.
My very first visit was great. The staff was very friendly and made my check in easy. Dr. Colon came in talk with me about my health and listen to my concerns. I will always highly recommend my doctor!
