I paid off a lien from an HOA misunderstanding 2 years ago, and found out this year that it is still an active lien on my home from this lawyer. Unbelievable, truly useless law office, wouldn't even see my when I went to the office to ask if someone could assist to remove.
This law office placed a lien on my home years ago, and I wasn’t even aware of it. Didn’t even know I owed the company that sued. I paid the balance. Now here’s the problem: after I paid this law office years ago, they never recorded the lien release with the county. I realized this today, which is years later. I called and they told me that I would have to go down to the courthouse and get it released myself. I’m sorry… but if you filed the lien, you should be the one to record the release. Extremely unprofessional experience. The individual I spoke with (I was later told by the receptionist her name may be Miranda, though I’m not confident that’s accurate) was condescending and dismissive from the start. I was attempting to understand the breakdown of my payments, and instead of providing clarification, she repeatedly spoke over me and insisted I was wrong without actually addressing my questions.
