Great Service, Super Fast! – I have used Gregie's Small Engine Shop for at least 10 years. I take my snow blower and my lawnmower to Greg. What impresses me most about Gregies is the short turnaround time; Take it in today, pick it up tomorrow, Sometimes even same-day service. The man is a no-nonsense machine when he has work waiting. When you come in be sure to bring along your dog or cat. Both Greg and his wife are animal lovers. If they aren't swamped with work they will always have time to give your pet a dog biscuit or ... read more
Great local shop! – Like an idiot, I forced my snowblower into the snow and ruined my augur. As a handyman myself, I ordered my own parts and attempted to replace. Unfortunately, I had seized the thing and couldn't get it off. I live near several small engine repair places, including one right across the street from my house. They all had a 3-4 week wait...and I had all the parts! I called Gregies, and they said they could take it in, and it would be ready in 1-2 days with a flat rate of $70. My partner brought it in, and 2.... read more
I made a great decision to go here... – First let me start off saying I didn't read any of the other reviews on here before I took my snow blower to Greg and his wife. I can honestly say that my experience wasn't like most that have posted here. To those who called Greg unprofessional, I submit to you that his business is a small engine repair shop, not a bank. Gregies exceeded my expectations by under promising and over delivering. Let me explain. First, they told me the repair would take 3-4 days (unlike my local shop in C... read more
never go there – I went into his shop without my snowblower to explain the problem. I told him what the issue was and that I had a picture of it on line that I wanted to show him. His response was (as he never got out of his chair) "I am in the middle of playing my games right now so I can't look at it"...he was playing solitaire on the computer. 2 weeks later I brought the snowblower in and he said he "didn't feel like working on it because it has tracks vs. wheels" I respected his comment and asked him nicely if he know wh... read more
Big Mistake – Took the snowblower there twice and never fixed it either time, doesn't answer his phone.
Do not go there. – I took my snowblower for belt repair to this person. He repaired it but when I brought it back and started it, several more complications started happening and when I called him about it he told me to bring it in. I sure did take it back and he said this will cost tons more money to repair. At this point I brought my snowblower back without any repairs,.....frustrating experience for sure.
Attempted to gouge us on a repair as it was going to snow later – We were taking my aunt's snowblower in for repair because the impeller was not throwing snow like it should. We put it on a trailer, took it to the shop and brought it in to have it serviced. We relayed the problem to the person working who quoted us an estimate of 2.5 times his posted hourly rate just to look at it (not counting any parts). While calling my aunt to see if she wanted to pay for the service at that price the worker told us, "It's going to snow ... read more
