I was referred to Dr. Zarelli by another neurologist at Kaiser as my family wanted the opinion of a neurologist trained in MS, it was hard for them to believe the diagnosis. In comes Dr. Zarelli. He’s been in the game for a very long time and I trust his expertise, in fact he said something along the lines of, “if you were my relative, I would recommend this treatment.” To this date, I have not had any relapses in symptoms. If I could give negative stars I would. I am extremely disappointed in my experience -- both as a professional with a doctorate degree and a person. He was dismissive of my questions regarding clinical reasoning to explain my presentation of symptoms and inability to walk after being paralyzed with transverse myelitis. He changed the diagnosis 3 times within a 3 week time frame -- and stated that my symptoms of struggling to walk were "psychogenic in nature" after being 100% paralyzed for the 2 months prior as a previously h... read more

I have multiple sclerosis, and I was very lucky that I was referred to Dr. Zarreli, he is very attentive and understands my problems related to my health. He gives good advice.

This doctor visit was probably one of most traumatic experiences of my life. I was really sick, feeling helpless and this doctor was so extremely rude. He was agitated for some reason, he was literally screaming. My friend was with me in the visit since I was feeling so bad to communicate properly, and even my friend was in shock about how this doctor was treating us. If you are person of color I would suggest to go with another doctor.
