Dr. Horton accomplished the impossible on my foot. I was born with horribly flat feet and had a failed prior surgery. Every physician that I went to told me that there was nothing that they could do to help me. Dr. Horton came into the room at my initial consultation and looked over my foot, it was as if I could see the wheels turning. He then explained to myself and the resident that was with him, how he would attempt to correct my foot issue. He looked at me and said it wasn't going to be easy, but after watching how thoug... read more
2018 my husband severely shattered his ankle. Dr. Greg Horton was the miracle surgeon who saved my husband ankle!
So, this guy did an achilles tendon repair on me. He had a complete medical profile on me before the surgery. 5 minutes before the procedure he slaps open the curtain and says he wouldn't have done the surgery if he know I smoked. I never hid it. So, surgery is done. He let's me go through 5 months of wound care procedures. Guess what...I tore my achilles worse during PT. He didn't want yo do anything about it. Not even an mri to see the damage done. His notes said he expected a full recovery. I had tore 90 percent of my ach... read more
Dr. Horton is truly exceptional. He genuinely cares about his patients and is deeply invested in the success of their surgery. He's thorough, communicative, and makes sure you're informed every step of the way. It's clear he wants you to recover just as much as you do. The entire KU team is incredibly friendly and consistently goes above and beyond. I really appreciate how kind and supportive everyone has been, especially during such a stressful time.
Would give Dr. Horton zero stars if that was an option. Went to him for bunion surgery due to 2nd toe crossing over my big toe due to a bunion. He did a 2nd surgery, at my expense, soon after because problem wasn’t fixed. Dr. Horton admitted later he didn’t actually do bunion surgery, just shaved the bunion which still causes pain and the bunion is worse now than it was before either surgery. He might be good for joint replacements but not bunions or toes.
