The cabin we stayed in at Greer Lodge was adequate. It was reasonably clean inside and even though the kitchen is small it had everything we needed. Having a BBQ grill made it convenient to bring our own food and grill. The nearest town with a supermarket is about 20 minutes away in Eager so very easy to stock up on food when you get there if you don’t want to pack a cooler or forget something. The cabin we rented (89) was small but workable, except for the kitchen. While well-equipped, there was practically no counter space. The worst, however, was the absolutely filthy range. Baked-on crusty caked burners and oven were disgusting. The lights over the stove and inside the oven were burned out, and one burner didn't work. I told the young man at the office and he sent someone to look at the burner. She said they sometimes just needed adjustments, as housekeeping removes them to clean. I said, "Seriously? The overall vibe of this place—and the cabin we chose—was exactly what we needed! Though it rained a little during our stay, it was nice hearing the rain through the trees and when it wasn't, hearing the creek was amazing. We had such a great time by the creek, we'd just read and nap for most of our stay. The only thing that troubled me was the very obvious fire code issue in one of the rooms.
