Therapists are very kind and understanding. Billing office is a little predatory. After realizing my summer schedule was too busy, I called to cancel my summer sessions and left a voicemail, I received a call back which I missed and a voicemail was left asking if I needed to cancel summer sessions and to call back to discuss when sessions would pick up. The administrative team at Greer and Associates demonstrates a lack of effective communication and situational awareness. Rather than resolving concerns promptly through direct phone calls, they rely on prolonged back-and-forth email exchanges, which is inefficient and frustrating. It was also unacceptable that an email regarding my 17-year-old’s account was shared with my ex-husband without my permission. I was EXTREMELY nervous about starting therapy. Growing up in a traditional Hispanic household, there was never really an emphasis on mental health. On top of that, being queer added another layer of fear for me. I worried about whether I would truly feel seen, understood, and supported.
