Do not have a head stone for our family plot and my flowers are constantly thrown away even when put on the foot stones. They pick and choose which flowers they remove. My brothers foot stone was chipped and I could see the tracks from the mowers that had run over it and took me awhile to get it replaced. I wasn't told it was chipped. Would not recommend purchasing a plot here with the city. Visited to see the more natural areas and glimpse of adjacent marshland. This is a former plantation, which affects the layout of things. Surprised to see Echinacea and Rudbeckia still blooming! We hoped to see Mexican Firebush blooming too, but it was past its prime. Our guides cautioned that alligators sometimes lurk near the pond. Not sure if they were messing with us or if we were just lucky, but we didn't encounter any threatening four-leggeds. Photos are from mid-autumn.

I am highly dissatisfied with the upkeep or lack there of that take place here at this cemetery. Every time I visit my loved one the grass is never cut. I literally go at least once a week to clean up around my loved ones graveside. Today on Mother's Day everyone was out there cutting and pruning our own loved ones grave. We paid for a service that we should be getting. The city of Savannah just takes the money of its citizens and put it into their own pockets. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
