South Asian lady won’t book me an appointment at my local GP because she thinks my high blood pressure of 165/120 is not a serious health issue for a 23 year old. Most of the team I’ve interacted with and that works there is very helpful and nice. This woman on the other hand will let you die from health complications. This is what’s wrong with the NHS. I have waited many many times for an hour and more in the waiting room fory appointment to start !! Yet I don't complain and understand it's out of their control. I ring them up today to say I'm going to be 10 minutes late because of roadworks also out of my control and they can't fit me in for five minutes to discuss a health issue that's very very serious. One rule for one a different rule for another here!
I was recommended this surgery but for sure I would not recommend this surgery to anyone. I've had nothing but a nightmare of negligence and carelessness back and forth from the start. Very unwelcoming to me as a new patient, my first appointment they didn't even know I existed so that got voided. I have also had continuous mistakes on my repeat life prescription, one time was fatal. How you can cock up something that's the same each time I don't know. 13th in queue on call to book an app, receptionist called back, booked app, didn’t know which Dr I was seeing, 5 mins late for app due to no parking, drove out and back again, still no parking, not to worry dr was late, did apologise hadn’t seen dr before. Half helpful, asked if I was depressed, receptionist couldn’t book a blood test, couldn't have blood test with nurse app I already have in 2 weeks, couldn’t give a sample bottle as dr hadn’t given form, dr said receptionist would print label. Excellent service today. I've been with this surgery for 50 years. Called at midday for an appointment. Got one at 7.35pm. Went in on time, got my prescription sent to Highlands and collected. All without issue. More of this please 🙏
