The cemetery in Park Slope is a unique place where suffering and healing intersect. It is truly a blessing to have such a historic site nearby. Not only is it a cemetery, but it also serves as a beautiful park where you can find peace and connect with nature throughout the seasons. My favorite spot is Bunker Hill, the highest point in Brooklyn. Many battles were fought there so we could be a free nation. From this vantage point, you can enjoy a fantastic view of Manhattan. I highly recommend visiting—you won’t regret it!
A nice place to take a walk and see your grandmas grandpa's parents friends brothers in the graveyard to bring them gifts and hope they're in a better place amen
Beautiful place. One of the RARE FEW places left in the city where I can just go inside to completely escape the noise of the city. When you're in Greenwood Cemetary it's like you almost forgot it's NYC anymore. The park is kept pretty clean, the staff and workers leave you to roam around. SO MUCH nature, space and something almost mystical about the place, it's a hard feeling to describe. When I'm in there it's almost like feeling cleansed and renewed.
