History Green Meadows Farm was started in 1964 in Waterford, Wisconsin by Bob and Coni Keyes. Thats the year they decided to convert their 80-acre hog and cattle business into a pick-your-own vegetables and raspberry farm. (At that time pick-your-own farms were a new concept in produce marketing.) When they discovered that most of the other pick-your-own farms in and around the Milwaukee area excluded children, they marketed their farm as a placeto bring the family. They also decided to incorporate some of the farm animals a... read more

Recently celebrated my daughters 4th birthday there. The group price for a minimum of 20 guests is fair. We had about 30 guests who all had a great time including 18 kids ages 2-12. All the kids under 4.5ft rode a pony, they all milked the cow, held the chickens etc. Our Tour Guide name Sherry was very knowledgeable. I think group package deal is worth it and would keep group at no more than 30 or so.
See post on page as to why Green Meadows received this rating. On a final note, I didn't see one American Flag on the property. The bird hall had several different flags from other countries.
This was the second year going on a field trip to Green Meadows Petting Zoo and it was just as fun as the first time. If you have the option of picking your tour guide ask for Sherri she was funny and very knowlegable. All the animals were great to and easy to interact with. Anyone who wants to have a nice relaxing family fun day should definetly visit Green Meadows Petting Zoo.
my 2 daughters and I took my 16 month old granddaughter for her first farm visit ... we all had a grand time and our tour guide Mike was the best
It's a good experience for a child but the price is a bit steep for adults! Who doesn't love seeing animals tho??
We had an extremely exciting and calming experience as parents. The baby was enthralled by all of the pets and all of the things to do. I cannot believe in one day for this price we got to ride a train, a hayride, a pony, pet turtles, goats, chase and pick up chickens, milk a cow and see other animals! The 2 hour tour was fantastic from start to finish. We had Monica as a guide and she was firm, to the point and funny! She didn't lose her sense of humor even after being stepped on by the cow during the milking experience! I ... read more
Such a wonderful place for field trip or a family outing!
It was awesome. 2nd time there and it didn't disappoint. We didn't have to wait for anything. As soon as we went thru the gate they brought us to join a group. You just keep going around until you see everything. Lots of animals to touch and hold. A few dangerous ones that you weren't allowed to. Certainly more than any zoo type place. This place is great. Make sure you wear closed shoes.
Took our 1 year old out and had an AMAZING time. Farmer John was a great tour guide and my baby girl got to pet, feed and play with the animals. We will definitely do it again! So worth the price for what you get! Thank you for a great day of fun Farmer John!
