Absolutely no room for flexibility or empathy. My girlfriend resigned a 6 month lease and then had a seizure a week after she signed it and was unable to care for herself fully. I moved in the apartment and the carpet has stains , the linen closet smelled like pet but when I moved out they took $120 of my deposit for steam cleaning of the carpet. Mind you a call when I I first moved in regarding the smell and the fact that the carpet was not clean.

Management has been good to deal with. They are extremely fair, but they do expect you to know what you are doing because they expect you to fulfill your contract. The apartments are older, but they keep the appliances updated. I've always found them to be responsive. I want to add that they do offer the flexibility of a month-to-month contract once your initial contract is up. You could get a 6 month lease and then go monthly.

I put in a maintenance request and it was taken care of very quickly. I was very pleased with the experience!
