Everything regarding the tune was as agreed and expected. The Taco performs as a strong and reliable truck. No issues or dark corners whatsoever. John is very knowledgeable and skilled at the task. I had a KDMaxPro tune done earlier this week (Monday) on my 2.7L 4-cylinder 2021 Tacoma. Like may Tacoma owners, there were issues about throttle response and gear hunting on hills. The tune did away with all that, the vehicle is much more responsive, and the MPG is still very good (I was getting routinely a bit over 25 - the tank I just finished was 26). 2022 TRD Off Road 3.5- “Sport Tune” with version 10. This is what my truck has been missing all along. Shifting feels less “slippy” because the torque converter feels more locked up, and it holds gears like it should rather than going up and down between 5th and 6th. Excellent customer service. Mr Borchers is polite, and very knowledgeable. I own a 2019 SR5 long bed Tacoma, 3.5" lift kit, 265/75r16 tires and Black Rhino Stadium 16x8 (-10mm offset) wheels. Currently running the KDMax 10.0 and loving it! It is a great improvement to what was offered from the factory.
A must for any Tacoma! Turns it into a completely different truck! What it should drive like from the factory. Got my original tune a couple years ago and now I'm on my 3rd update. Drive it every day for work and have taken it on road trips without a single issue! John is great to work with and very knowledgeable about the tune/updates.
