If your interests lie in the scientific, science fiction,or history you will enjoy your visit. The huge radio dish dominates the scenery for miles around. Located in an isolated Appalachian valley, cool foggy mornings and warm afternoons are perfect for camping and motorcycling. The visitor center at the Green Bank Observatory is worth the small purchase price for entry and don't miss the bus tour.
