The business was established in 1965 by Judy and Bob Mooney, who also bred Yorkshire Terriers. In 1982 the business was purchased by Chuck and Mary Jones, who ran the business until it was purchased by Don and Paula Hanson in October of 1995.

My dog, Parker, must love staying at Green Acres. He pulls on his leash to get in the back as fast as he can. No separation anxiety. We have been using Green Acres for over 20 years with two dogs.
RecommendedEveryone at Green Acres Kennel is knowledgeable, friendly and up to date on the latest information for the best care possible for your pet. Don is always quick to inform me if there has been a recall on any pet food brands. He offers healthy treats that my cats and dog love. Try the dried chicken treats that are for dogs and cats!!! We get all of their toys, treats, and even collars at Green Acres Kennel. Worth the trip!
We’ve enrolled our 13 week chocolate lab to the puppy head start program, and we are already seeing positive results with Maggie! Don is extremely knowledgeable and always open to questions or clarification. I didn’t understand the importance of a puppy head start until now and so happy we found a “home” with Don and Paula!

I have been using Green Acres Kennel Shop for a little over a year now. Their training is top notch. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. We get our dogs food there and love the fact that they always make sure these are good quality products for our fur babies. We also used their grooming service. They were very accommodating to our nervous pup. The kennel service is great. I would use it again when needed. While I can't say I've had the opportunity to use all of GAKS services, what I have used is amazing. When you walk in and the staff know your fur children's names, that's true customer service.
