The biggest issue with this YMCA is how pickleball hours are scheduled. Pickleball is consistently set up way too close to basketball hours, which causes constant conflicts, rushed transitions, and confusion. Courts aren’t ready on time, nets are barely up before basketball needs the space back, and players are left waiting or getting pushed out early. This is unfortunate as NEPA is too cold to play outside. If you’re a pickleball player I’d suggest playing elsewhere as nothing ever changes at this place. You’ll just get som... read more
If you plan to cancel your membership for any reason, please be aware. I was still being charged from October through January even after I submitted a cancellation form in mid-September at the location. I had to contact a membership coordinator and my bank to dispute these charges. I also informed the YMCA location of this issue, as it may be affecting other former members. I am still waiting for the remaining refund to be issued to me which is unfortunate because I enjoyed my time there.
Newer gym equipment, nice facilities. Staff is friendly!
The scheduling here makes absolutely no sense. Pickleball runs from 5–8, then basketball is only 8–9. Make pickleball 5–9 on one night and basketball 5–9 on a dif... read more
While pickleball was actively going on, basketball players were already on the court dribbling basketballs. It created a chaotic and unsafe environment. At one point, I was genuinely worried I was going to break a leg with people running onto the court while pickleball games were still in progress. Balls bouncing through active games is not only distracting, it’s dangerous.
