I had a great experience at Greater Columbus Perio and would recommend Dr. Serra to anyone needing a complicated dental implant procedure or gum graft. Dr. Serra is very knowledgeable and caring. While dental procedures aren't fun, my experience with this office was wonderful, from my consultation to my procedure (Gum Graft). Dr. Serra is very thorough and made sure to answer all of my questions during my consult. I never once felt rushed. On the day of my surgery, the staff was very comforting. I can’t say enough positive things about Dr. Serra and his entire staff. I was certainly not looking forward to a tooth extraction and subsequent implant process, but Dr. Serra and his friendly yet professional staff (both Amy and Karen) did a great job of explaining the procedures, and after care, in detail (both verbally and written)....including how to best minimize discomfort...and Karen also went over the financial details with me, so there were no surprises (plus paying in full yielded a discount.) I had an excellent experience with Dr. Serra and his staff from start to finish of my implant. Dr. Serra is very kind and gentle. I appreciated his attention to telling me exactly what he was doing prior to and during my procedure. I was having bad pain prior to the removal of my tooth and Dr. Serra responded to me on the weekend and offered to see me that day. The implant itself has done great. I recently needed a crown lengthening procedure and chose Dr. Serra to perform it. The entire experience exceeded expectations. I was prepared for some discomfort and soreness. I followed his directions for using ice and ibuprofen and experienced neither!! Dr. Serra has a knack for explaining what he proposes to do and why it is necessary in a way people can understand.
