I was very pleased with Great Collections when I auctioned off 2 certified coins recently. I had contacted 2 other online coin auctions prior to Great Collections, and both told me that since my 2 coins likely wouldn't bring more than $5000 total, that they weren't interested in taking them. Great Collections accepted them, I had minimal selling fees, the price I received was very satisfactory and they had a check to me quickly! I highly recommend Great Collections as a venue to auction certified coins...they do a great job.
I had won an auction for a gold coin, but my friends convince me it wasn't real. I took it in to Great Collections who helped to alleviate that concern! They were able to authenticate the gold coin and even appraise it, if I had wanted to sell it. Very nice and professional team, thank you!
Have bought and sold numerous coins through GCCA...maybe 30-40 times. Never has there been an error in paperwork, and shipments always safely packaged. Questions by email have been helpful and timely. Communication has been excellent.
As a small collector, I have consigned and purchsed from Great Collections for over five years and their service and professionalism is PF70.
My only experience is as a buyer. GC has timely followup on email questions, reasonable markup and shipping, the bidders seem to know their market values pretty well. Coins look just like the photos and are shipped promptly. After reading some of the poor reviews of some sellers it is a reminder to always have realistic, not optimistic, expectations and enter into any new financial relationship in stages.
