Don't go there The service at this business is absolutely terrible. My husband and I each took in our respective vehicles one week apart to have our tires rotated. The tires were all purchased at Great Western Tire to the tune of nearly $2,000. We both told the service guys at the counter that we only wanted a tire rotation. My experience there took 1 hour and 40 mins with a lecture on what all needed to be done with my car, when all I requested was a tire rotation. Best repair shop in town!!!! I have had nothing but the best service with Great Western Tire. The first time I scheduled with Great Western Tire was to have my car checked out on why the check engine light was coming on and running really bad. I had been at three differant shops and everyone of them told me that it was fixed and by the next day the light was back on. SPEARFISH location. This business has now, 3 times, gone out of their way to get me my car back ASAP because I told them I needed the car. The only problem I have ever had with them was them failing to call me when the part got in (I had to call them, and they said oh yeah, we forgot but its here). Other than that, they fix it FAST and one time, the head automotive guy, Randy, quoted me wrong and his labor took him 2x the amount he quoted me. Lost my Business I had a front end shake in my pick-up. I took it to the FORD dealer and they checked out the entire front end and suspension system. My truck suspension system was in "like new" shape, however I had a bad tire. I drove several blocks and had a new set of tires put on by Goodyear Great Western Tire on 3rd street, they called me back to the installation area and told me my ball joints were shot and it would be $600 and they could do the repairs now. Awesome service We only needed a belt replaced, but we couldn't get the car to a shop during their business hours. As a busy family we needed the car back right away. Goodyear Great West picked up the car from my husband's work and returned it before his shift ended. Now that's service.
On July 15, 2020 I purchased a new set of tires from Great Western. I must say Mike took care of me and helped me pick out tires that fit my budget. When I asked him specifically about free rotation and balance, due to my purchase he said it was free. I asked him twice and both times I received the same answer. Never once was anything said about a charge for balancing. The reason I say this is I will not buy tires if that is not included. RecommendedI have been to many shops. I only go to Great Western Tire for any automotive repair needs now and have been for many years. Always good work, fair prices and great staff. I strongly recommend them.
