Thank you for taking the time to respond. Just to clarify, my review was never about your shop’s policy. I completely understand that every business has its own policies regarding supplying parts or materials, and I respect that. If your shop prefers to use its own oil and filters, that is absolutely your decision. My concern was only about how the situation was explained to me during the call. I recently called this shop to ask if they could do an oil change on my car. I mentioned that I already have my own oil and filter and was simply looking to pay for the labor to have it installed. The response I received was disappointing. The staff member said they do not prefer customers bringing their own oil and compared it to “bringing your own food to a restaurant and eating for free.” I found that comparison inappropriate because I clearly stated I was willing to pay for the labor service.
