I moved into my Great Southern home in 2025. The house was built in 2023. I called Great Southern Homes Midlands to get information about the construction floor plan island measurements. Floor plan has island but original owner did not get. Lori with GSH Midlands provided Terrible, Terrible, Terrible customer service. Did not listen, spoke over you and frantically rushed you off the phone. It was an opportunity to promote Great Southern Homes. Complete Fail. The warranty is useless and the quality is poor. Definitely look elsewhere
I have a complaint. I have been sending emails about what needs to be done at my house but, it seems to be swept under the rug or say no it supposed to be like that. The crack they came to fix is still there above the sliding door, the other one on the wall so so, I still think the floor is unlevel upstairs among other things. But, I see people at my neighbors house all the time fixing stuff there. Now I know some of it is great southern fault. But, it just seems they are getting everything taken care of by any means. This was tough for me. I really wanted to write a positive review, but GSH cut too many corners. There have been some really nice employees but overall, the houses aren’t built great. The trims aren’t lined up in some rooms like the bathroom. GSH used the cheapest flat paint for all the walls and therefore scuff or show every fingerprint and cannot be cleaned. Zero stars is to many for this horrible builder. They built my house on land that was not suitable to build on and they refuse to fix the real problem. They tried to appease me by doing cheap little fixes that did nothing to solve my problem. So now I have to live in a house that has wayer constantly coming out of the foundation. Just had a foundation specialist come in and it’s going to cost me a lot of money and that’s not even fixing the corner of my house that is now half an inch off from the rest of the house.
